Ongoing Optimization

Sites decay quietly: a form breaks, a service changes, a page slows down, a link rots. Ongoing optimization is a scheduled, documented habit of catching that and improving what the data suggests.

Who this is for

Businesses with a site that already works and who would rather not discover a dead contact form six weeks after it broke.

It is not a rescue plan for a site that needs rebuilding — that starts with website design and conversion.

What a cycle includes

  • Form submission test end to end, including delivery and the visitor-facing success state
  • Phone link and call-to-action check on mobile and desktop
  • Broken-link scan and fixes
  • Performance and mobile layout spot checks, including overflow
  • Search Console review: coverage, indexing, and query changes
  • Analytics review of the conversion events, with no personal data collected
  • Content updates you request: new services, changed hours, seasonal notes
  • A written change log listing what changed and why

How the work runs

We agree on a cadence — commonly monthly or quarterly — and a change budget. Each cycle starts with the checks above, then spends the remaining time on the highest-value improvement identified, with your approval for anything that changes public copy.

Whether urgent issues such as a broken form or a down site are handled outside the regular cycle — and on what availability and timing — is agreed in your written scope. No response time is implied here.

Scope boundaries

This is website work. It does not include managing ad accounts, answering your leads, moderating reviews, or posting to social media.

Larger projects — a new section, a redesign, a new language — are scoped separately rather than absorbed into a maintenance cycle.

Questions about this page

Is there a long contract?
Engagements are agreed in writing before work starts, and terms are discussed during the review conversation. We do not publish prices here because scope differs too much between businesses.
What reporting do I get?
A plain-language change log plus the measurement review. If a number moved, you get what we did and what we think it means, including when the honest answer is that it is too early to tell.
Can you just fix things when I ask?
Yes — ad hoc work is possible. The scheduled version simply catches problems you have not noticed yet.
